StarFish offers contract design services in the high technology field of medical products, including Manufacturing/Production capability. The company is certified to ISO 13485, the medical equivalent of ISO 9001. Founded in 1994, Starfish Medical employs a staff of 25 in Victoria, British Columbia. Along with their Manufacturing team, StarFish Medical has a select team of experts in Engineering Physics, Electronics, Software, Embedded Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance.

Working in a high energy, high technical environment the Assembly Tech. must be well organized and be self motivated. It is critical that all Assembly Technicians demonstrate attention to detail in the assembly of products along with following procedures.

Responsibilites:

  • An understanding of ISO Quality systems and ensure processes are followed accordingly.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly ; which will require the use of adhesives, soldering irons, and various tools within the workshop.
  • Manufacturing and receiving of raw materials or finished goods.
  • Basic computer skills (MicroSoft)
  • Evaluate and escalate issues in a timely manner.

Qualification:

  • College Certificate or related technical experience
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills

Reporting Structure:

  • Report to the Production Supervisor
